Egypt - Valley of the Kings
The history and legends of these remarkable people, their funerary rites, and the significance of the many paintings and hieroglyphics, still well preserved in the deepest tombs. It is impressive to see how vivid the paintings remain. In one of the tombs a security guard invited me to an area away from the people. This is the 4th time this happened on the trip. You pay extra to take photos and my cameras are substancial so I am sure they saw tips in their future. So he let me walk up in an area by myself. Nice!
