Maryland - Historic London Town & Gardens 

In Edgewater, MD this is a interesting place. Not just because of the history, but becasue of the extensive and well established gardens. Mature holly trees and a Dawn Redwood. Many magnolias, camellias, dogwoods, rhododendrons and viburnums. It was wonderful to wander through. I was gifted a Daffodil bulb, which is now in my garden.

Side Note: UNESCO Site of Memory associated with the Slave Route - In 2019, Historic London Town and Gardens was designated a "Site of Memory associated with the Slave Route" by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). London Town joins thirty other sites nationally in this important designation, which commemorates the nearly 12 million African people forced into the Middle Passage of the transatlantic human trade. https://www.historiclondontown.org
