The Forbidden City

Just beautiful. I couldn't stop taking pictures. Every detail and color, I didn't want to miss any of it. The photos I had seen on line didn't do it just. Not sure I have either. But I tried. Again so many people it was hard to get views.

I was impressed with the hand work and all the painting. They repaint it every year to keep it fresh. It sounded like they start at one end and work all year to get to the end and start over.

It is a compound basically with these huge buildings one right after another. Like a maze with in. I lost track of were I was. So I googled it and it is impressive. The Forbidden City was the Chinese imperial palace from the Ming Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty. Built in 1406 to 1420, the complex consists of 980 buildings with 8,707 bays of rooms and covers 7,800,000 sq ft. Click here for more info.

I could have spent days there.
